Boston Makerspace Tour

You're invited to a Makerspace Tour, on Wednesday, June 22nd in Boston, MA. This tour is designed for librarians to explore Makerspaces, their equipment, and their pedagogy. The three Makerspaces we will be touring are Lesley University Makerspace, the Boston Public Library's Makerspace, and South End Technology Center.

  • Lesley University Makerspace 10-11:45am
  • Lunch in the Copley Square Area 12-1pm
  • Boston Public Library 1-2pm
  • South End Technology Center 2:30-3:30pm

Space is limited to the first fifteen people who RSVP. If you would like to participate in the tour, please email Mary Moen, Program Director of Media Smart Libraries at mary_moen@uri.edu If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email.

Participants will make their own travel arrangements. The tentative plan is to park near Lesley University for the 10 am tour, and then park near Boston Public Library for lunch and a tour at 1 pm, then walk .4 miles to the South End Tech Center for a tour of their facility. At 3:30 we will call it a day and head back to our cars. Public transportation is definitely an option as well. More information on transportation will be available to registrants.
