Series: Media Smart Libraries

Facilitators: Leah Lubman, Branch Manager, Washington Park Library; Maureen Nagle and Yulie Lee, Moses Brown School

Oral histories are a powerful means to help us learn about the past and preserve a portrait of who we are for future generations. In this workshop participants will learn about podcasting equipment, the process and general ethical practice of interviewing, editing and archiving considerations, and programming ideas in public and school libraries. An optional follow up virtual session will be scheduled to share out experiences of “making history” in our libraries.

This workshop is part of the Media Smart Libraries program which was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services Grant # LG-07-14-0045-14 and awarded to the URI Graduate School of Library and Information Studies.

Attendance at this workshop could be applied to the Access & Use, Analyze & Evaluate, Create & Collaborate, Reflect, or Take Action digital badge.
